Tomato, German Pink (organic)

85 days from transplant.  Potato leaf plants produce large 1-2 pound beefsteak fruits. Meaty flesh with few seeds, very little cracking or blossom scars. Full sweet flavor. This gorgeous dark pink fruit is extremely versatile, excellent for canning and freezing, but also for slicing and juicing. Indeterminate-fruit ripens throughout the season.  Packet of 25 seeds.

One of the tomatoes that originally ignited the heirloom movement in America, this variety originated in Bavaria. It made its U.S. debut in 1883, brought here by Michael Ott, a great-grandfather of Seed Savers Exchange co-founder Diane Ott Whealy.
